“By Chance Museum”
The black lettered words were printed plainly on the brick building.
“Interesting” A young man mused, as he strode into the museum. He was greeted at the door by a portly gentleman, clothed in a suit coat, dress pants, and a black tie. “Good morning!” he began. “Welcome to the “By Chance Museum” where every thing is made by chance! “What!” The visitor exclaimed incredulously. His dark eyes than narrowed critically. “That’s’ impossible!” “Oh is it now?” The museum guide challenged. “Well then, let us step over to this painting here. This whole painting was made completely by chance. See the lovely bridge and water fall, depicted in such a grand way, that you can almost hear the rushing water, see the thicket of bush and tree, smell the flowers!” The museum guide closed his eyes as if he were seeing it better with them in that manner. He suddenly opened them and quickly glanced over to his guest. Strongly skeptical eyes met him. “I see you don’t believe me!” “Of course not!” His visitor exclaimed. “I would be a fool to believe such nonsense!” “Well then,” returned the guide, “Let us take a little walk down this hallway. I present to you a piano. Perfect condition, fully tuned, and it was put together as a result of a small earthquake that happened just 3 years ago. The whole earth seemed to but rumbling, the dirt was cracking, and a lady (who prefers to remain anonymous) watched with her own two eyes that, amidst confusion, broken pieces of lumber, bent wire and music notes combined themselves together and created this!” The visitor was getting tired of all this “talk” “I think I’ll leave” he decided. “Better than staying here and listening to this complete nonsense!” “Please,” asked the guide; “Just take a look at one more display.” Unhappily, the young man complied. His guide brought him over to the outdoor part of the museum. “Do you see the trees, flowers, grass, blue sky, clouds, and everything else out here? Do you see that cat over there? And the bird sitting on the tree? The chattering squirrel gathering nuts? Every one of these creatures where, like the piano, and painting, created by chaos, a big bang to be precise, was the creator of these amazing creatures and all of nature actually.”
The young man looked at the guide and smiled. “Well, it’s about time you got something right!”
The End
We don’t believe that something as simple as a painting, wood table, piano, books, or things like houses where created by chance. Those are just the simple things! Isn’t it crazy to believe that our world was created by chance? Can you honestly say your proud to claim truth to this?

My Mother
Who lovingly cares for me throughour night and day?
Whos seeks to assist me in work or in play?
This is my Mother.
Wh lends me a hand, gives words full with grace:
Who seems to glow, full with joy on her face?
This is my Mother.
Who shows a passion for God's word and prayer?
Who gives of herself to nobly share?
This is my Mother.
Who's down on her knees with tears in her eyes.
Prays for her children, trusts God hears her cries?
This is my mother
Who try's to bring happiness and smiles so free?
Though hard for her, she knows it's joyful for me
This is my Mother
Who's raising an army to fight for what's true?
A quiver of arrows that seeks to help you
This is my mother
Who has a heart that from love has not shied?
Who's shone a deep beauty, shown care far and wide?
This is my Mother
Who prays for the saints, shows devotion, is kind?
Who chooses to stay narrow and leaves sin far behind?
This is: My Mother.

Isaiah 53
This is a beautiful passage of scripture. It is one of my favorites. What a great reminder of what Jesus Christ did for us! This would be a good passage of scripture to memorize!
Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Mango Smoothie
One Mango
One cup Milk
1-2 tablespoons Nectar, or honey, or 1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup crushed Ice (you can crush it your self by putting the ice in a baggie and wrap a towel around it. Then, hammer it until it resembles snow! Preferably outside)
1 teaspoon lemon or lime juice
Blend it all together and enjoy! For an optional idea, make the smoothie without the ice. Instead, put it separately into a glass and pour the smoothie over it!)

Popover Recipe!
Popovers
1 Cup all purpose flour-sifted
Place in large bowl:
1 Cup milk
Stir in flour with a wire whisk or egg beater
Add:
1 tablespoon confections sugar
½ teaspoon salt
Beat in four eggs one at a time. Beat batter well after each egg is added. Have ready six oven proof dishes. Spread with oil or cooking spray. Pour batter into dishes 1/3 Cup full. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 min. Then lower to 350 degrees and bake for 10 min. or more (or until done.)
Yum!
I love this recipe and it is a favorite in the Hoppman household! I made some on Easter, because it represents Christ's Resurrection; the tomb was empty! Just as these popovers should be like, inside when they are through cooking. If that doesn't happen though, that's OK. I still don't get it right all the time! I think the trick is not trying to fill the muffin pan up too much...
I hope you enjoy this recipe!

Josiah's Shadow
Yesterday, I was swinging with Josiah in our back yard, and I was trying to show him what his shadow was. It was right in front of the swing, so he finally figured our what a "shadow" was. Here is a conversation that took place while we where still swinging...
Josiah: "I'm going to 'bam' my shadow. ("Bam" meaning, "hit")
Josiah hit the ground with his foot while still trying to swing at the same time. After trying to "bam" his shadow a second time, he slipped off his swing, and tried hard not to fall down on the ground and regain his balance!
Josiah: "Shadows are naughty."
Kelsey: (me) Anything that doesn't cooperate with you is naughty, isn't it Josiah?
Josiah: "It's going to snow tonight, and my shadow will get WET!!!!"
Kelsey: "Josiah, your shadow goes with you. Wherever you go, he goes."
Josiah: "No, I know how to get him away! I'm going to go to bed without him!"
Kelsey: (me) "You've found a way to get rid of shadow?"
Josiah: (determinedly said) YES!!
Josiah is always making me laugh about something. :)
My Shadow
I have a little shadow that goes in and out with me,
And what can be the use of him is more than I can see.
He is very, very like me from the heels up to the head;
And I see him jump before me, when I jump into my bed.
The funniest thing about him is the way he likes to grow—
Not at all like proper children, which is always very slow;
For he sometimes shoots up taller like an India-rubber ball,
And he sometimes gets so little that there’s none of him at all.
He hasn’t got a notion of how children ought to play,
And can only make a fool of me in every sort of way.
He stays so close beside me, he’s a coward you can see;
I’d think shame to stick to nursie as that shadow sticks to me!
One morning, very early, before the sun was up,
I rose and found the shining dew on every buttercup;
But my lazy little shadow, like an arrant sleepy-head,
Had stayed at home behind me and was fast asleep in bed.

The Secret Truth Behind The Easter Bunny
Why do we celebrate Easter?
Is it because of the fun of hiding eggs, or the sheer delight of getting some extra candy? Is it because we take joy in saying hi to the easter bunny, and looking at the fun colors?
Of course not; but I think we are forgetting the real reason to celebrate Easter. It has been turned into a Holiday of pretend fuzzy chicks, make-believe bunnies, eggs, and candy. Why? Do you think that maybe Satan is trying to make a good holiday into a bad one, or maybe trying to make Christians forget the real reason of celebration? Does it sound familier to another common, and yet, in a way, forgotten celebration; Christ's birth?
Do you want to get the secret truth behind the easter bunny? You can find this out and more by checking out this website: (link is below)
I was shocked when I read this.

Simple Trust
David saw beyond the weapons, and size of Goliath. The philistines said, "here's our giant! Try to beat him!" And David said: "Here's my Giant, try to beat Him."
David knew that God was greater than Goliath and his weaponry.
We should have more of a simple child-like faith in God. It's easy to say that we trust Him, but how about when it comes down to you and your "giant"? Are you able to look beyond the sword and the spear and see God?

Cowbow Jo!
Introducing...
Cowboy Jo! (better known to most as Josiah) He came downstairs one morning and he is learning how to dress himself... I guess he still needs some training! :) My nickname for Josiah is "goofball" Now you can see why! He is a very sweet little guy. (if he knew that I wrote "little" he wouldn't be happy though, for lately, he has been referring to himself as "big"! ) :) Whenever I put my hair up in a new way or put on something he finds pretty, he will complement me on it and let me know how nice it looks! Yes, he is only four. I'm glad for such a wonderful little brother!
