Josiah Ezra Hoppman

Here are some pictures of my four year old brother: Josiah. (In the background, inside the pool is Keturah) :)

In case your wondering what he is doing, he is holding a large squirt gun, and out of the picture is dad, playing with him. These where taken last Summer.

This is my favorite picture! You can see that he too is getting sprayed with water by Dad!

Josiah loves cars, jumping on the trampoline, riding his bike, figuring out how things work, playing with KeturahLego, blocks, and many other things! Oh yes, He loves Wallace and Grommit!! (an English, claymation comedy/ movie about a dog named Grommit and his owner, Wallace.)

The Woman Who Fears the Lord

The Woman Who Fears the Lord (Psalm 31)
An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels The heart of her husband trusts in her,and he will have no lack of gain.12 She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life. She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands.14 She is like the ships of the merchant;she brings her food from afar.15 She rises while it is yet nightand provides food for her householdand portions for her maidens.16 She considers a field and buys it;with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard.17 She dresses herself [2] with strengthand makes her arms strong.18 She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp does not go out at night.19 She puts her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle.20 She opens her hand to the poorand reaches out her hands to the needy.21 She is not afraid of snow for her household, for all her household are clothed in scarlet. [3]22 She makes bed coverings for herself;her clothing is fine linen and purple.23 Her husband is known in the gateswhen he sits among the elders of the land.24 She makes linen garments and sells them;she delivers sashes to the merchant.25 Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.27 She looks well to the ways of her householdand does not eat the bread of idleness.28 Her children rise up and call her blessed;her husband also, and he praises her:29 “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.”30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.31 Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.

Keturah A.H.

Keturah Abigail Hoppman

As you can see by the pictures, Keturah is a cutie! She loves playing mommy to her dolls, playing with her brother Josiah, and she is always looking for ways to help one of her family members. (especially daddy:) She loves swinging with me, playing outside, and baking with mommy. (translation: lick the spoon) :)

Jonathan Isacc Hoppman

A cute picture of my wonderful brother Jonathan. (More pictures of my siblings coming soon!) He loves Hot Wheels, running, playing with his cousin Daniel, anything athletic, and making us laugh. (He really is good at it!)

A Prayer in Time of War

Here is a poem writen by Aflred Noyes. Enjoy!

Thou, whose deep ways are in the sea,
Whose footsteps are not known,
To-night a world that turned from Thee
Is waiting at Thy throne.
The towering Babel’s that we raised
Where scoffing sophists brawl,
The little Antichrists we praised
The night is on them all.
The fool hath said…the fool hath said.
And we, who deemed him wise,
We who believed that Thou wast dead,
How should we seek Thine eyes?

How should we seek to Thee for power
Who scorned Thee yesterday?
How should we kneel, in this dread hour:
Lord, teach us how to pray!
Grant us the single heart, once more,
That mocks no sacred thing,
The sword of Truth our fathers wore
When Thou was Lord and King.
Let darkness unto darkness tell
Our deep unspoken prayer,
For, while our souls in darkness dwell.
We know that Thou art there

Life Is Just A Minute

I have only just a minute, only sixty seconds in it. Forced upon me, can't refuse it. Didn't seek it, didn't choose it. But it's up to me to use it. I must suffer if I lose it. Give account if I abuse it. Just a tiny little minute, but eternity is in it.

What a great reminder that the time God gave us is so precious!

What comes with having chickens...

Well, we have about seven chickens and so you are bound to get a variety of egg sizes... Take a look! I thought this was funny.

Eggs anyone?

Matthew 6:26

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? (Mathew 6:26)
