Thoughts

I hope y'all had a wonderful, blessed thanksgiving day! I know our family certainly did.

Now that we are past Thanksgiving season, the Christmas season is coming in full swing. The tree is up, lights are all around, and of course, Christmas music is played every day.  Before we let this season go however, remember the One we must always keep in focus, no matter how busy we get, or where our lives take us. God is not simply "The Creator of the world who we worship on Sundays", He is our King and friend. We must revere and honor Him, yet we must also commune with Him daily.

Every action, word, and deed, should be done in His name and for His glory. Is this how we go about our day, or are we seeking only our plans and desires?

May you all have a great week.

Decisions...

Many Christians strongly suppose that we ought to cast our vote for a certain candidate because he is “The only candidate who can beat Obama”. We are talking about the highest public office in the Country, and we speak of voting in a man who believes something completely against our Lord and His Word.
Is it on account of fear? Perhaps we have forgotten what happened last election? Perhaps we have forgotten what our nation stands for? Perhaps we have forgotten that our actions are only a tiny part of the job? Perhaps…And I believe it to be so.

Is our vote to be swayed by who is the running opponent, or should we look at the candidates from a correct, biblical standpoint, and choose one who fears God and, to the best of our knowledge, would serve the people as a servant, bearing such in mind?

“The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof  is of the LORD.”

I strongly urge Christian voters out here, to consider carefully your vote in this election. Remember, God does not need our pitiful little vote to bring a man into office, however, he can also use our vote to change the world.

(Proverbs. 28:2, Proverbs 16:12) Matthew 6:24-34 is also good food for thought. Click here for a link that will bring you to a fellow-blogger who's post, I believe, is well worth reading and considering.

I hope you all have a great week. Now get out there and vote!
