The Sunshine Award

[sunshine_award.jpg]

Jenna over at Where the Heart Remains
has awarded me with the Sunshine Award!

The award is for those who put a little Sunshine in my day.  I'll only award a few this time, but I enjoy each and every one of your blogs. :)  If you have already received this award then don't worry about it, just know you're appreciated! :)

1.  Mia at Aspiring Homemaker

2. Jenna at Feminine Farmgirl

3. Emily at Ems' Blog

#1 Your favorite color.

Light Purple

#2 Your favorite branch of the military.

I don't really have a preference

#3 What is you dream vehicle.

My dream vehicle would be an inexpensive working car. As long as it's not terribly strange-looking, I don't care about what kind it is!
My 13 year old brother, Jonathan, actually studies the free car magazines you get at the store. Ask him about any car on the road and most of them, he'll know. I'll bring him along when I'm searching for a car. ;)

#4 Hats of choice if any.
I don't tend to wear hats. Sometimes I'll wear a regular cap if I'm going to be outdoors in the sun for a while. My 10 year old sister Mykaela has a cow girl hat, and sometimes I'll put it on just for fun!

#5 What’s the last movie you watched?

The last movie I watched was Homeschool Dropouts . I highly recommend you check out this DVD. It is excellent. The seven Botkin kids ask the question, "Will the second generation follow in their parents footsteps in homeschooling?" and they go into detail about the different, most common sins, that face the homeshooling movement. It was very convicting, and very well presented. Please consider getting this DVD. You won't be disappointed!

#6 Have you ever had a pet?

Yes! I personally have had two. I used to have a beagle named Tucker. (In Australia, "Tucker" refers to food) My dog loved food and beagles are refered to as "a nose on four paws" He was always trying to dig out because he smelled so many new and exciting things. He was our "rat/mouse watch" and would spend hours going after one if he caught their scent. He also seemed to be so lazy around the house... Until our gate was opened, he "suddenly" had a great burst of energy and would run off.
Right now I have a cat named Tiki. He is a silver tabby and the best cat we've ever owned! We found him in our barn shortly after he and his siblings were born, and we kept he and his brother, Tommy.  We have had, and do have, many other pets. All of our animals are pets to us. :) I'll give you all a list of those we have now:   Eunice (a llama), Poppy, (an African Pygmy goat), Bella Rose, (a La Mancha goat), chickens, one rooster named Dimples, (He was named as a chick) Chiquita, (a mini horse), Four dogs, Scooter, Joy, Zinc, Copper, two cats, (Tiki, and Tommy), and last (and maybe least) Jonathan's Betta Fish, Gulp.
Tiki loves a ride on my shoulders! It took some practice though... :)

#7 What is your favorite movie or TV show character?

I don't really watch TV and it would take me a while to put down a list of my favorite movies as well. Right now though, as far as documentary's go, I'll say Homeschool Dropouts or Return of the Daughters.

#8 Do you have any firearms?

I don't, but my brothers and Dad do.

At night, I just keep our two dogs, Zink and Copper, in my room for protection. :)

#9 Favorite 2 quotes

Here is a funny quote that my Dad says, referring to serving ourselves at the dinner table:

"Take what you want, eat what you take" We don't want to waste our food!

On a more serious note, here is a quote that I like a lot. I'm not sure if I got it exactly though:

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men stand by and do nothing"

Christians need to stand up and fight for their rights and what they believe in, or evil will over come. This is a message that is being portrayed in a movie my sibling and I are working on called
"The Peasants Cry" (Go here to see the trailer.)

#10 Have you had a MRE?

 Nope.

I hope you all have a wonderful week. Seek the Lord, and trust him no matter what! He knows better than we ever could.
God Bless. Your sister in Christ,
Kelsey
