Some Beautiful Poetry

I was looking over my older posts and realized I've never posted this poem. I read this poem so much that I memorized it. If I could pick one favorite poem, it would be this one. It is beautifully written and whenever I read it, it gives me such a feeling of awe at how small we are to an amazing, sovereign God. We are so, so blessed to have a God who cares so much about us. I make many mistakes in every day life but He is SO faithful to forgive me again, and again. Praise God for what he is doing, and I thank Him for his ever present mercy.

Please let me know what you think of this poem. (Unfortunately, the author is unknown)

Sovereign ruler Lord of all

prostrate at thy feet I fall

Hear O hear my ardent cry,

frown not lest I faint and die.

Depth of mercy! Can there be

mercy still reserved for me?

Can my God his wrath forbear,

me the chief of sinners spare?

I have long withstood his grace;

long provoked him to his face.

Would not hearken to his call,

grieved him by a thousand falls.

Now incline me to repent,

let me now my sins lament.

Now my foul revolt deplore-

weep, believe, and sin no more.

Justly might thy vengeful dart,

heal this bleeding broken heart.

Justly might thy kindled ire,

cleanse me from eternal fire.

But with the is mercy found,

balm to heal my every wound.

Soothe, O soothe this troubled breast-

give the weary wanderer rest.

That is a beautiful poem Kelsey. Some reason when I was reading it it seemed like I had read it before, but I don't remember for sure or not.

About the blog background,
I never have had any trouble changing my background. I have tried putting a new template on my blog and it messed things up a bit but I never have had any trouble with changing backgrounds.
Hope it works for you!
